Encaustic cement tiles are made by mixing white Portland cement, quartz sand, marble powder, and natural mineral pigments. This mixture is then poured into a mold and pressed together with a heated press.
The tile is then left to cure for several weeks before it can be used. After curing, the tile is sealed with a waterproof sealer to prevent staining.
