Clay roof tiles are made by forming a wet clay mixture into a desired tile shape, drying the tiles in a kiln, and finally firing the tiles in a heated oven. The wet clay is typically mixed with sand or other additives and pressed into a tile form using molds or machines.
Once the tiles are shaped, they are dried and fired to a temperature of around 1000 degrees Celsius. After firing, the tiles are gathered and ready for installation.
