A pivot door is a type of door that swings on a vertical axis, rather than opening outwards or inwards. The door can be made of metal, wood, or other materials and is mounted at one end of the doorway, with a pivoting hinge forming one side of the door jamb.
Pivot doors open wide and offer easy access to large or tight spaces. When opened, the door swings outwards and away from the frame and wall. This design eliminates the need for clearance space on either side of the door, providing for a tight seal when the door is closed.
