3. Place a layer of gravel in the bottom of the trench and use a tamper to compact it.
4. Add a thin layer of sand over the gravel and tamp again.
5. Position the boulders in the trench and use a level to make sure they are even.
6. Fill in the gaps around the boulders with concrete, using a trowel to fill in the crevices.
7. Let the concrete harden overnight, then fill in the rest of the trench with soil and compact it down.
8. Cover the wall with landscape fabric and then mulch or gravel for aesthetic purposes.
