Building a curved retaining wall on a slope can be achieved in a few steps. First, determine the angle and radius of the curve needed to fit the slope and mark it out. Using a level and string, build the retaining wall’s foundation.
Make sure to use gravel, stones, and tamped earth as a base for proper drainage. Next, build the wall itself with interlocking blocks or stones, taking care to make it uniform. Fill up the gaps between the blocks and along the edges with mortar. Finally, backfill behind the wall with soil and rocks and then finish off with a layer of topsoil and mulch.
