The best way to demolish a concrete staircase is to use an electric jackhammer. Start by removing any stair treads, railings, and other materials that may be attached. Then, use the jackhammer to break apart the individual stairs. Have a helper hold a flash light to illuminate the work area and debris.
Wear proper safety gear and use hearing protection. After each step has been broken up, remove the pieces with a wheelbarrow or other suitable tool. Repeat the process until all of the stairs have been removed.
