1. Open the Autocad program and create a new drawing.
2. Click on the “Ellipse” button in the Draw panel of the ribbon at the top of the screen.
3. Click and drag the mouse to define a center point for the ellipse.
4. Press and hold down the mouse button while moving the mouse to define the two endpoints of the major axis, or a complete circle. When the desired shape is achieved, release the mouse button.
5. To make an ellipse, click and drag a third endpoint to define the minor axis. Release the mouse button when you’re done.
6. To finish drawing the ellipse, click the accept button in the prompt window. The ellipse will be drawn in the drawing.
