1. Gather your materials: Cement, Styrofoam, a basket or container for the inside of the flower pot, a bucket or bowl for mixing, a shovel, water and a trowel.
2. Cut the Styrofoam to the size and shape of your desired flower pot.
3. Place the Styrofoam in the inner basket or container.
4. Mix the cement and water in the bucket or bowl according to package directions until you have achieved a thick, paste-like consistency.
5. Scoop up the cement mixture with the shovel and fill up the inside of the flower pot with it. Smooth the top of the flowerpot with the trowel.
6. Allow the cement to set and dry for at least 24 hours before attempting to remove the Styrofoam from the inside.
7. Once the cement is fully dry, carefully remove the Styrofoam from the flower pot and discard.
8. If necessary, smooth any rough edges on the flower pot with sandpaper.
9. Plant flowers or other plants inside the finished flower pot.
