To paint your concrete patio to look like flagstone, you will need to start by cleaning and prepping the surface of your patio. Next, you will need to apply a base coat of outdoor latex paint in a color of your choosing, then use a wide brush to give the texture of flagstone.
Once the base coat is dry, mix up a mixture of acrylic craft paint, water and sand and use this to dry-brush onto the surface of the patio, blending different colors and shades as you go. Once you have achieved the desired look, seal the paint with an outdoor sealer.
