3. Cut flooring: Use a utility knife to score the laminate planks lengthwise, then use a hammer and chisel to break them up and remove them from the floor.
4. Remove adhesive: Once all the planks have been removed, use a scraper, putty knife, or heat gun to remove any remaining adhesive. Be sure to wear gloves and eye protection during this process.
5. Clean the subfloor: Vacuum, mop, or sweep the bare subfloor to remove any residue or dirt.
6. Install new flooring: Once the subfloor is clean, you can install your new flooring.
