4. Apply a waterproof sealant along the edges of the broken material to stop further damage.
5. Use a patching compound to fill in any gaps or cracks.
6. Apply a coat of waterproof sealant over the patching compound.
7. Apply an extra coat of waterproof sealant to the area to ensure a permanent repair.
