Staad Pro is a structural analysis and design software that has been developed by Bentley Systems, Inc. Here are some of the steps you can take to use this software:
1. Get familiar with the GUI: Staad Pro has a great graphical user interface (GUI) which makes it easy to work with. Look around and get comfortable with the menus and how the program works.
2. Learn the basics of finite element analysis: Before you can start using Staad Pro for your project, you need to understand the basics of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
3. Set up the model: Once you’re familiar with the basics of FEA, you can begin setting up the model in Staad Pro. Start by defining the loading, boundary conditions, and material properties.
4. Analyze the model: Once you have created and set up the model, you can run the analysis. This will give you the displacements and stresses of the structure.
5. Design the structure: After running the analysis, you will be able to design the structure as per code requirements. Staad Pro supports a variety of codes, such as AISC, Eurocode, etc.
6. Check the results: Finally, you should check the results to make sure they are accurate and as expected. You can also compare the results to different loading scenarios and soil conditions.
