Plywood is made by gluing together multiple layers of wood veneers, each with its own grain running in different directions. This gives the finished product greater strength and stability than a single layer of wood.
The wood veneers are rotated at 90 degree angles, then trued up and cut to size before the glue is applied. Once the glue has been applied, the veneers are pressed together in a hot press and left to cool. Finally, the plywood is sanded down to create a smooth finish.
