The construction bar chart is a bar chart that is made by specifying the start date, list of the activities, completion date of each activity, list of activities, and duration of the activity and is plotted on a project timescale.

The limitations of the Bar chart are as follows:

• Progress of work is not shown.
• It lacks a degree of detail.
• It is unable to depict the interdependence of various activities clearly.
• It can’t differentiate between non-critical and critical activities.
• There is no provision to account for uncertainties of the time.
