1. In 3ds Max, select the object you want to apply the normal map to.

3. Drag and drop a Standard material onto the material slot.
4. Click on the Maps rollout and select “Normal Bump”.
5. Click the None button next to the Normal Bump map and select Bitmap.
6. Browse for and select the normal map file.
7. Adjust the strength of the normal map by adjusting the “Bump Amount” in the Normal Bump Map Parameters.
8. Apply the material to your object.
