To apply putty on plywood, you will need to first sand the surface of the plywood with sandpaper until it is smooth and free of any splinters or rough areas. Next, mix your putty according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and apply it directly onto the plywood surface with a putty knife. Spread it out evenly, and let it dry for at least 24 hours before sanding down any excess putty and finishing the surface with a sealer.
