To create a shortcut command in AutoCAD, go to the Menu bar and select Options. Select the “User Preferences” tab and click on the Shortcut Keys icon. The Shortcut Keys dialog box will appear. Enter the command name at the top of the dialog box. For example, if you want to create a shortcut for a Zoom All command, type ZOOMALL.
To assign a shortcut key to it, select a key combination from the list on the right and click Add. That key combination will now appear in the Current Keys list. Click OK to save your changes.
