Begin by opening AutoCAD and creating a new drawing. Select the “Engineering” template from the available options. This will give you engineering-specific tools and settings for your drawing. Next, use the drafting and annotation tools to draw the engineering details.
You can add text, symbols and dimensions to the drawing. Finally, use the layer tools to assign different objects in your drawing to different layers for easier organization and editing.
