Generally speaking, the proportions are typically 1 part cement, 2 parts sand and 3 parts aggregate by volume. To estimate the amount of cement needed, take the total required volume of concrete and divide it by 6 (1/6th of total is cement).
For example, if you need 5 cubic yards of concrete, you would need 5/6 (or 0.83) cubic yards of cement.
