3. Install the lateral lines of the irrigation system, which are typically smaller diameter tubes that run off the main line and are used to deliver water to specific areas.
4. Connect the lateral lines and the main line with fittings, such as elbows and tee connectors.
5. Install the tubing, or driplines, which will directly deliver water to the plants or areas you wish to irrigate.
6. Connect the tubing to the lateral lines with tubing connectors.
7. Install any additional components, such as valves, filters, pressure regulators, and backflow preventers, if necessary.
8. Set the water timer for the desired frequency and duration of watering.
