4. Line the hole with a heavy-duty plastic film to prevent leaks.
5. Place a layer of gravel at the bottom of the hole and tamp it down firmly.
6. Add an underlayment of blanket fabric over the gravel and around the sides of the hole.
7. Mix cement according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and pour it into the hole.
8. Shape the concrete walls of the pond with a trowel as it hardens.
9. Let the cement cure for the recommended time period.
10. Install filters, pumps, and other equipment needed for your pond.
