To make a mold for cement casting, you will need some basic tools and supplies, such as a silica-based sand, a release agent, water, plastic sheeting, a variety of tools (such as a trowel, rubber mallet, and a stamper), and some formwork. Start by creating the formwork: you can use wood, metal, or any other material to create a shape. Make sure it is strong enough to hold the weight of the wet concrete. Next, line the formwork with the plastic sheeting, then coat the inside of the formwork with the release agent.
Fill the formwork with the silica-based sand, and level it out. Use a trowel to smooth the surface and create a flat top. Once the mold is ready, you can begin casting the cement. Add water to the concrete mix and pour it into the mold. Use a stamper to compact the cement into the mold. Leave it to set overnight before removing it from the formwork.
