The production of cement starts with the extraction of raw materials from the ground. These raw materials, typically limestone, clay, sand, and iron ore, are combined in a large industrial furnace called a kiln. The kiln is heated to more than 1,000°C, causing the mixture to become molten and form a clinker.
This clinker is then cooled and ground into a fine powder that is blended with gypsum to form cement. The cement is then packaged and transported to factories where it can be used in various construction applications.
