Compressed earth bricks (CEBs) can be made using the following steps:
1. Collect soil from the building site and mix it with water until the mixture reaches a clay-like consistency.
2. Pass the soil through a sieve to remove any large rocks or debris.
3. Add an admixture such as cement or lime to help bind and harden the brick.
4. Mold the mixture into brick shapes using molds or forms.
5. Compress the bricks in a press machine, slowly increasing the pressure over time.
6. Remove the bricks from the molds, and allow the bricks to air dry for at least 24 hours.
7. Place the bricks in an oven and heat them to 140°C (284°F) to finish the curing process.
These steps should produce CEBs that are strong, durable and eco-friendly.
