1. Start by cleaning the bricks. Use a broom or vacuum to remove any dust and debris.
2. Choose an appropriate exterior paint based on the type of brick, the environment, and desired finish. Masonry paint works best on interlocking brick.
3. Prepare the surface by scrubbing it with a solution of mild detergent and water, then rinse.
4. Use painter’s tape to protect any windows, trim, and other surfaces that you don’t want to paint.
5. Apply a coat of primer and let it dry before painting.
6. Use a roller or brush to apply the paint in even coats, making sure to cover all of the brick.
7. Let the paint dry completely before applying a second coat.
8. Remove the painter’s tape and you’re done!
