1. Open your Revit software, click on the Architecture tab and select the spotlight tool in the Lighting category.

3. Use the Move command to adjust the ceiling light’s position to the desired location.
4. Adjust the properties of the light such as its light intensity and wattage.
5. Click on the Modify tab and select the Line command to draw a connecting line from the center of the ceiling light to the ceiling surface.
6. Use the Move command to adjust the end points of the line to the desired position.
7. Click on the Modify tab again and select the Join command. Click on the ceiling light and then the center point of the line. This will create a connection between the ceiling light and the ceiling surface.
8. Close out of the current view. Now when you look at a 3D view, the ceiling light should be in place.
