To sand hardwood floors, you’ll need to gather a few tools including an orbital sander, a vacuum or dust extractor, sandpaper, and a broom. Once all the tools are gathered, begin by vacuuming or sweeping the floor clean of any dirt or dust. Then use the orbital sander to start sanding in a circular motion around the entire room.
Follow up with sandpaper, finishing with the grain of the wood. Vacuum afterwards and repeat until the desired level of smoothness is achieved. When finished, wipe the floor with a damp cloth to remove any remaining dust.
