1. Choose the right pot and container – Your pot should be at least 7 gallons wide and 12 inches deep, with enough holes in the bottom to allow for water drainage.
2. Connect the drip system components – Assemble the main irrigation valve, backflow preventer, pressure regulator and filter, then attach it to the garden hose.
3. Install the drip line – Place the drip line along the edge of the pots and make sure it is secured in place.
4. Add emitters – Place one or two emitters on each pot and adjust the flow rate depending on the size of the pot.
5. Run the system – Turn on the main water supply and let the drip system run for 30 minutes. Check for any leaks or clogs and make sure the water is reaching each pot.
