There are several ways to tie vertical rebar in footings. The most common method is to use wire ties to secure the rebar to the footing. To do this, wrap a length of wire around the rebar and the footing and twist it tightly to hold the rebar in place.
You can also use mechanical wire ties, which are designed to be much more secure than wire ties. Another option is to use welding to attach the rebar to the footing, but this requires more skill and may not be suitable for all footings.
