The Indian Standard (IS) code for Painting is IS 14772: 2020. It is a national standard for painting and related activities. This code prescribes the definitions, requirements and test methods for the construction, finishing and performance of paintwork in buildings and other structures. The scope of the standard includes the materials and processes used in traditional as well as modern paint systems.
