Shotcrete and gunite are types of concrete used in construction. They are most commonly used as a form of reinforced masonry in which a layer of concrete is applied over an existing surface using a high-velocity spray. Shotcrete is usually used to create horizontal surfaces such as walls and ceilings, while gunite is most often used for vertical surfaces such as pools, ponds, and even rock formations.
