M25 grade of concrete in which M stands for concrete mix and 25 stands for compressive strength of concrete cube is 25 MPa (N/mm2) after 28 days of curing.
M25 grade concrete is made up of mixture of cement, sand, and aggregates (coarse) in a ratio 1: 1: 2 (1 part is cement,1 part is sand, and 2 part is cement) in which the water-cement is between 40 % to 60 %.
There are two types of M25 concrete proportions of concrete mixes: –
Nominal mix for m25 concrete: – It is the grade which is generally used for small-scale construction & small residential buildings where the consumption of concrete (cement sand and aggregate) is not high.
Design mix for m25 concrete: – It is one for which mixing rates of cement sand and aggregate are obtained in various laboratory tests considering various types of loads acting on structure member of building.
