Plastering is a process in which a plaster material is applied to walls, ceilings and other surfaces in the building. The most common types of plaster are lime, cement, gypsum and clay based.
Plastering provides a surface that is smooth and attractive, as well as providing insulation and protection against moisture and air infiltration.
