The Green Building Council is a nonprofit organization that promotes sustainability in the built environment by providing information and resources on green building strategies and best practices.
It works to advance green building practices and market-based solutions to reduce energy, water, and resource use while improving the health, safety, and comfort of occupants. The Council also offers certification programs for green buildings as well as rating systems for existing buildings.
