4. Seal the seams: Start at one end of the seam, and squeeze the tube of roofing cement to fill the gap between the two pieces. Move the tube along the seam while continuing to apply even pressure, ensuring that the seam is completely sealed.
5. Clean up: Use a putty knife or other appropriate tool to remove any excess roofing cement that may have accumulated along the seam. Allow the roofing cement to dry completely before exposing it to any water.
