      Selecting concrete blocks or burnt bricks during construction completely depends upon the requirements of the builder. As any other construction material, these two materials also have some pros and cons.

      Concrete blocks

      Burnt bricks
      Concrete blocks are cheaper as compared to bricks but waste from them is non recyclable. Burnt bricks are costly but can be easily recycled.
      They are made from fly ash or reusable material. They are made from top soil surface.
      Lighter in weight. Heavier in weight.
      Concrete blocks are more resistant to earthquake. Bricks are not recommended for earthquake prone structures.
      Time to time maintenance is required. Less maintenance required.
