      Non automatic rain gauges do not record the rainfall information, they only collect the rain and transferred it to a graduated cylinder to measure it. Automatic rain gauges record the rainfall against the time.
      The measured volume of rain in the cylinder directly represents the rainfall volume in cm of water depth. From the recorded data we can easily analyze the information about the intensity and duration of rainfall.
      Non automatic rain gauges do not give information without bottle reading. These gauges are giving permanent rainfall information without bottle reading.
      Here name itself says it’s non automatic so manual efforts are required. These are automatically recorded on graph paper and no person is required or read the amount of rainfall on the gauge.
