As per the drip irrigation system layout on a larger scale, it includes head, main, sub mains, laterals, and drop nozzles. The Head consists of the water lifted with the pump to create atmospheric pressure of 2.5 times than atmosphere in a pipe. This pressure created in the pipe is sufficient to ensure the proper flow in the whole drip irrigation system.
Also in the layout fertilizer tank is included sometimes to pass water through it and fertilized water is provided for irrigation. the fertilized water passed through the filter so that suspended particles should not clog the drip nozzles.
Main and sub mains are made of small size flexible PVC pipes and their diameter is according to design discharge.
Laterals are smaller than the main and sub-main(generally 1.25cm diameter) and specifically designed of black PVC pipe to differentiate from the main and sub-mains pipe. Their length can range up to 50 meters so that they can reach the end of the field and every row of crops. the End of the lateral is sealed.
The Next part of the layout is the drip nozzle is like valves attached with laterals at regular intervals of 0.5 to 1 m. holes are made on laterals to insert emitters and water seeps out through it at a rate of 2-10 liter per hour.
Here is the suitable layout of the drip irrigation system, sometimes instead of emitter drip tapes are used.

The Advantages of drip irrigation are as follows:
Every irrigation system has its advantages with some drawbacks but here we discuss the advantages of drip irrigation as per its suitability
This is a good irrigation system for plants like grapes, papaya, sugarcane, etc.
And it is very useful for gardens, nurseries, and small orchards.
As per modern faring like rooftop or terrace farming, vases can not hold so much water and seeps and the evaporation rate is higher in such cases. So drip irrigation is the best option for this kind of farming.
Sources that have less water and can not be used in other irrigation systems, can be utilized herein in drip irrigation farming.
Evaporation loss,- and deep percolation loss are approx zero in this irrigation system and utilization of water is maximum. So it is best where water scarcity is there. And water application efficiency is around 90% in this kind of system.
Widely spaced crops or plants like vegetables, and orchards are best to use this irrigation system.
Here fertilizer can be directly applied to the root zone of crops so labor and effort will be reduced for the application of fertilizer in the field.
It is very useful for the soil which is not able to hold water or easily infiltrate the water like sandy loam soil.
