However, a better understanding of the built environment and its effects on society could help contribute to improved public health by promoting healthier designs for buildings that meet safety standards and are comfortable and energy-efficient for occupants.
Improved design of urban environments can create more walkable and bike-friendly spaces, reducing air pollution and promoting physical activity which can lead to better health outcomes.
