      The role of consultant is very important for construction project work. A consultant make the construction work more efficient, most durable and most economical.
      The role of consultant in construction sites or projects is to assist the their clients by selecting the best contractor which is best for the project and also for the materials suppliers.
      Construction Supervision is the work of the consultant and they have to keep proper care on the construction which is primarily divided into two parts which are general supervision and resident supervision:-
      General supervision
      Consultant has to visit the site timely
      They have to guide the client or owner of the project regarding the project work.
      Rectify the plan drawings and specifications.
      checking the drawings and data provided by the engineers or company
      Regularly checking the progress of the work and further payments of material, labours and miscellaneous expenditure.
      guide the contractor or owner regarding the amendments of the contracts.
      Inspection of the project
      Consultant has to prepare the “as-built’ drawings
      The above mentioned work of consultant is very important for construction projects.
      Resident supervision
      The consulting engineer has to send a an engineer to the site of the project for the inspection of the work.
      The resident engineer come over the site to check the site that the site is built as per the specifications and plans.
      Regularly checking the progress of the work and further payments of material, labours and miscellaneous expenditure.
      guide the contractor or owner regarding the amendments of the contracts.
      Consultants play important role as an expert for proceeding and advises the client and lawyers on engineering related matters.
