In order to become a construction contractor in India, you must obtain the necessary qualifications and certifications. You need to be registered with the Engineer’s Registration Council of India (ERCI) and with the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics (DGCI).
You must also have a valid contractor’s license and carry the appropriate insurance coverage for your business. In addition, you will need to possess knowledge of the local, state and national laws and regulations related to construction contracting. Finally, you should have experience working on construction projects and demonstrate proficiency in the use of construction equipment and tools.
