To become a building valuation for bank or financial institutions, you will need to have experience in the banking and finance industry as well as experience with appraising buildings.
You may also need to hold certifications such as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation which requires several years of practice experience and passing of an examination. Additionally, you may need to demonstrate competence in the areas of appraisal practice and law, appraisal ethics, report writing, and analysis, research, and statistics.
