3. Lay down a layer of gravel onto the surface, taking care to spread it evenly. This will provide a level base for the patio.
4. Measure out the dimensions of the raised patio, and mark them with stakes or string.
5. Outline the patio space by laying down the concrete blocks around the perimeter.
6. Mix the cement according to the instructions on the bag, and begin filling in the blocks with the mixture. Use a trowel to level off the surface.
7. Let the cement dry completely.
8. Add any decorative touches you’d like, such as stones, pavers, landscaping, etc.
