Building a terraced retaining wall on a slope requires the use of several different materials, tools and techniques. First, you need to prepare the area by leveling and compacting the soil. The next step is to install a layer of waterproof membrane. This is followed by placing drainage pipes at the bottom of the slope.
After that, you need to build the terraced walls with interlocking blocks or brick and mortar. Make sure to leave gaps in between each row to allow for drainage. Lastly, add a layer of gravel behind the wall and cover with topsoil to finish the project.
