1. Begin by gathering the necessary materials: bricks, mortar, sand, and a level.
2. Calculate the size of the stand needed for the tank, taking into account the size and weight of the tank, as well as accounting for any additional weight from water, equipment, etc.
3. Mark out the area to be used for the stand on a flat surface, such as a patio or concrete slab.
4. Lay the first course of bricks, making sure that they are even and level.
5. Add mortar between the bricks to secure them together.
6. Continue adding courses of bricks until the desired height of the stand is achieved, making sure to check for levelness as you work.
7. Finish the top layer of bricks with a final course and use the level to ensure everything is even.
8. Allow the mortar to cure before placing the water tank on the stand.
