      1) First, you need to decide on the size and shape of your steps. Make sure there is enough room for them within your overall retaining wall plan.
      2) Gather the materials needed for the project, such as concrete blocks, sand, gravel, and mortar.
      3) Calculate the length and height of the steps. Measure and mark out the area where the steps will be.
      4) Dig a trench for the steps. Make sure it’s at least 6 inches deep and is level with the ground.
      5) Lay the first row of blocks in the trench. Check that they are level and secure them with mortar.
      6) Continue laying the blocks, alternating between layers. If necessary, add more mortar to secure them.
      7) Once all the blocks are laid, fill the gaps between the blocks with additional mortar, sand, and gravel.
      8) Backfill the area behind the steps with soil and tamp it down to ensure it is secure.
      9) Finish off the steps by adding landscaping stones or other desired decorative elements.
