Solution: To calculate concrete quantity in beams we simply find the volume of given beam by multiplying it's dimensions. We can understand this by a simple example Suppose we have a beam of length 15',width 2' and depth 1.5' . So we will find the volume of beam Volume =15'×1.5'×2' Read more
Solution:
To calculate concrete quantity in beams we simply find the volume of given beam by multiplying it’s dimensions.
We can understand this by a simple example
Suppose we have a beam of length 15′,width 2′ and depth 1.5′ .
So we will find the volume of beam
Volume =15’×1.5’×2′
=45 cubic feet
Therefore the quantity of concrete required for beam of above dimension is 45 Cubic Feet.
And in this we can ignore the quantity of steel because it is very less as compared to concrete.
