2. Calculate the load per unit area (in kPa) for formwork for slab, beam, column, footing etc. using appropriate recommendation from IS : 456 (code of practice for plain & reinforced concrete).
3. Multiply the area and load per unit area to get the total load.
4. Allow additional load due to surcharge etc., if required.
5. Divide the total load by the area and then multiply by 1000 to get the load/m2.
