To calculate the amount of plywood you’ll need for a project, you will need to measure and calculate the total square footage of the area that needs to be covered. First, measure the length and width of the area and multiply the two measurements together to get the total square footage.
Once you have this number, divide it by the square footage of the sheet of plywood you plan on using (typically 4′ x 8′). This is the number of sheets of plywood you would need for the project.
