      A residential building estimate is the probable cost of the construction by calculating materials quantities, and their cost with the help of market rates before the construction of the residential building.

      Estimation of the residential building includes the calculation of the quantities of the various materials, labour, equipment needed to complete the construction of the residential building.

      The process of estimating the building involves steps. These are the estimation of:

      1. Excavation
      2. Footing PCC
      3. Footing RCC
      4. Column up to plinth level RCC
      5. Backfilling
      6. Plinth beam RCC
      7. Grade slab RCC
      8. Column up to slab level RCC
      9. Brick masonry
      10. Inside plaster
      11. Outside plaster
      12. Ceiling plaster
      13. Slab RCC
      14. In side paint
      15. Outside paint

      Two ways can do calculation of building estimation:

      1. Manually
      2. Digitally (Excel worksheet)

      MANUALLY: In this method, all the calculations are done in paper. It is a time-consuming method.

      DIGITALLY: In this method, work is done on an Excel worksheet. It is a time-saving method.
